Procedure to eat Tulsi 



 You can consume basil leaves in many ways.  Basil leaves can be chewed raw and can be made tea by drying their leaves.  Tulsi leaves tea is the most common and popular use of this herb. Put 2-3 spoons of basil leaves powder in boiling water and boil it for 5-6 minutes.  Then drink this tea.

Medicinal uses of tulsi -

 1. Tulsi in fever

 Tulsi is considered highly beneficial for the treatment of various types of fever.  With this, deadly and infectious fevers like malaria are easily cured.

 By boiling neem leaves with cinnamon and mixing it with milk and sugar, the body temperature can be reduced.  It can be treated by giving it to the patient every 2-3 hours. This method is most useful for treating children.

 2. Tulsi for cough 

 The main component of many types of cough syrup.  Tulsi proves to be miraculous for patients with diseases like asthma and bronchitis.  Chewing Tulsi relieves the symptoms of cough cold.

 Gargling by boiling basil leaves in water makes it easier to get rid of sore throat and throat infection.

 4. Tulsi for breathing problems

 In diseases like asthma, bronchitis, cough, cold, influenza, boiling basil leaves with honey and ginger is beneficial.

 Influenza can be treated by taking basil leaves boiled with cloves and salt in water.  These mixtures should be boiled in 2 quarts of water till the water remains half.

 5. Kidney stones 

 Tulsi is highly beneficial for kidney.  If you have kidney stones, then taking basil juice with honey for 6 months will give you relief from stones.

 6. Heart diseases

 Tulsi is very beneficial for those with weak heart.  This also causes a drop in your body's cholesterol levels.

 7. Children's diseases 

 Children's diseases such as cough, cold, fever, diarrhea, vomiting, etc. can be cured by taking the juice of basil leaves.

 Additionally, it is also useful in diseases such as chicken pox if taken with saffron.

 Basil leaves are used to relieve stress.  Chewing 12 basil leaves twice daily solves the problem of stress.  It purifies the blood and also relieves other diseases.

 People who have trouble seeing at night and have other problems related to the eyes get relief by taking basil.  By putting 2 drops of black basil juice in the eyes at night, you will get relief.

 15. Medical properties 

 Use of Tulsi boosts your memory, is useful as a nerve tonic and helps to remove phlegm from your throat.  These leaves strengthen the stomach and provide refined sweat.

 It can be used to extract mucus.  It can be consumed every hour.


Basil(Tulsi) Side Effects

 Basil dilutes the blood in our body and hence it should not be taken with medicines that prevent blood clotting.

 If people suffering from diabetes or hypoglycemia, who are taking medication and consuming basil, may have an excessive decrease in their blood sugar.

 An excessive amount of basil during pregnancy can cause uterine contraction and menstruation.  Women should avoid its use, especially in the first trimester. There is no specific information about breastfeeding mothers, but for safety, avoid the use of basil during the breastfeeding period.

 Consuming excessive amounts of ginger basil tea can cause heartburn, acidity and stomach irritation.

 If you do not have a basil plant at home, buy one so that when you need to treat these common problems, you have fresh basil available.

 Best time to eat Tulsi -

 Tulsi intake depends on your routine.  What time to consume Tulsi also depends on why you want to use it.  The use of basil is usually said to stomach stomach in the morning. But if you have trouble digesting food, you can use it even after eating food, it helps in digesting food.

 The basil of Tulsi is hot, so it is advisable to consume it in the winter season.  You can eat basil in the summer season, but you may have a problem due to its excessive use.
